
the
transition times of the year are always the most interesting, rather like life i guess. paddling the
sunset on red rock has an added attraction with 6 inches of ice floating in the middle. the
black icy shelf refracts the
sunlight and the opening cracks portend the gradual demise of last season's
surviving remnants - now flood stage in the spring.
i'm back in heaven (no, iowa) with the lake open for paddling and a whole season ahead.
